Westwind was founded by Andrew Johnston in 2015 after leaving his partnership of 5 years with Summit Builders. Andrew’s background is in land development and construction project management with an emphasis on cost modeling, cost estimating, design, and pre-construction services.
Andrew joined Summit after coming over from Larkspur Hotels & Restaurants where he successfully developed a number of complex projects as director of construction. Prior to Larkspur Hotels, Andrew worked for Nibbi Brothers in San Francisco as a project manager, estimator and director of pre-construction services. Andrew moved to the Bay Area in 1997, where he worked as project manager for Kajima Urban Development, the project guarantor to the San Francisco Giants’ Pacific Bell Park (now AT&T Park). Andrew lives in San Anselmo with his wife and two boys.
Additionally, Andrew currently serves as a partner in a residential development company, MJC Development, and therefore brings the knowledge and appreciation for the many economic and challenging issues that all projects must consider.
